Honey, We Broke the Kid is the eleventh episode of the seventh season of Wings, and the 133rd episode overall in the series.

Synopsis[]

Helen and Joe watch the child of friends for the weekend, but find themselves unable to handle parenthood. Between Joe wanting to make sure she's secure to the point of never leaving her alone and Helen constantly pushing healthy snacks on her, Emily seems overwhelmed. Meanwhile, Casey brings a celebrity to Nantucket to film a commercial to promote tourism, and Antonio inadvertently starts (kind of) dating him.

  • The episode's title is a play on "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids", a 1989 American comic science fiction film.
  • When asked who is the best TV detective, Budd answer is police woman Pepper Anderson, who "had a body that would make a bishop kick out a stained glass window". That line is lifted from Raymond Chandler's novel "Farewell, My Lovely" and it is one of the most famous hard boiled detective lines of all time.
